It’s been hot in Kumamoto. This Kumanichi article reports that it was 38.1 C (100.5 F) in Ushibuka yesterday (Sunday the 18th). This is the highest temperature ever recorded there.
Kumamoto City has now had nine (9) days in a row over 35 C (95 F) and the forecast is for similarly hot weather to continue here until Thursday or Friday.
