Here’s another example of how lessons learned during the Great East Japan Earthquake are being applied in Kumamoto:

“Interfaith chaplains have arrived from other parts of Japan. Some places of worship, such as a Buddhist temple and a Christian church, have opened themselves up as evacuation shelters. They are drawing on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami of five years ago, following which religious practitioners actively provided spiritual care.”
