Our favorite Kumamoto-dwelling Scottish graphic novelist, Seán Michael Wilson, in February received a bronze award from the International Manga Awards (国際漫画賞) of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (外務省) for his work, “Secrets of the Ninja.” Seán has lived in Kumamoto for many years and is the first British person to ever be awarded this distinction.
