Higo Journal reminds us that, along with the cherry blossoms, Kumamoto Castle’s main keep (てんしゅかく、天守閣) will vanish come May as scaffolding envelopes both it and Idamaru - so get those photos now as the scaffolding is not expected to come down until 2019.
