Kumanichi reports that the opening of the Oyano bypass in Amakusa, intended to reduce travel time between downtown Kumamoto and Amakusa City to 90 minutes, is now scheduled for May of this year. The original March opening was postponed due to the difficulty of securing construction workers after the quakes (priorities).
