The Rising Sun Flag (旭日旗, Kyokujitsu-ki) is a Japanese flag that consists of a red disc and sixteen red rays emanating from which. Sadly, it became convoluted with the war though its history is far older. Apparently, its origins are from Kikuchi (didn’t know that!), appropriate as it is one of the oldest domains in Japan.
