Kirk here with a little note about the impact of Johnny Depp’s film. Though it takes some historical liberties I think it does a good job of dramatizing an important issue. I hope there are lots of instances like this one where young people get interested in the issue because of the film. By the way, I’m indebted to Mr. Toshio Yoshinaga, mentioned in the article.
