Kirk here with a little report on the petition drive for Le Thi Thuy Linh, the Vietnamese technical intern who was convicted of “abandoning” the bodies of her stillborn twins.

Ms. Linh’s appeal is scheduled to be heard on the 19th of January. As I understand it, judges tend to pay attention to public sentiment so I think part of the idea of today’s petition was to raise public awareness and thereby improve Ms. Linh’s chances in court.
