Douglas here. The best time of year to see many active mutsugoro (mudskippers) on the muddy shores around the Ariake Sea is from the end of May and the middle of June. This very short video is the result of our first visit to film the fish in 2023. The main purpose was to get used to shooting video with our recently acquired BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K - more usually named BMPCC4K! We hope to be able to go back in June to get some more interesting shots of the mutsugoro.
