Atsuko here. I could see Tsuchinshan-ATLAS in Kumamoto!!!

It is a beautiful day today with no clouds. It was visible in the western sky after the sun set, around 6:30 p.m. today. I managed to take a picture of it with my cheap smartphone without a lens. It will probably be visible again tomorrow if conditions are good. This is a comet that appears only once every 80,000 years, so please try to see it. With the moon on your left shoulder, face west and look for Venus in the western sky at about the same angle. I will report again if I can take a proper and beautiful photograph.

It’s not a dirty lens, it’s a comet!🤩 https://theskylive.com/c2023a3-info
