The times are shown in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). This is good for international scholars but a little confusing for those of us who actually live in Japan. You need to add 9 hours to UTC. I wish that they would give English speakers the option of viewing the information with Japanese times. If the government’s primary concern were to provide information to help foreign residents protect themselves, I would think the need for such an option would occur to them.
