Two cops just came by to follow up on my dog’s disappearance the other day. I’d assumed that the reason I didn’t have to fill out any paperwork when I retrieved him is that they already had a substantial amount on hand (he’s well-known at the substation), but it did provide a good chance to remind them that Sawako had been hit by a car recently and they have done nothing about it. Priorities: send two cops over to fill in paperwork regarding a wandering dog, but nothing over a woman sideswipped by a car. - William
