My wife went to Kimbozan (金棒山; also romanized as Kinbozan, Kimpozan, and Kinpozan) recently and said that colors were just starting to turn and that the next weekend would probably be best. ‘Tis the season for momijigari (紅葉狩り; fall color hunting). :)
