Kirk here was a follow-up to Atsuko’s post (Thanks, Atsuko!). I made this little graph to put the numbers in perspective. I hope this is just a blip, so to speak, but today’s number are literally close to being off the charts. The chart is from the following page:

As you can see, today’s number of new infetions is about double what we’ve been having so far.

On TV I heard that the virus is tending to spread among children and that the heat has led to more reliance on air conditioning which, due to the reduction in natural ventalation, makes it easier for the virus to spread.
