The third link takes you to another article about “power spots” that explains that “an (in)famous Uri Geller type figure called Kiyota Masuaki coined the term ‘power spot’.” So, it’s sort of “made-in-Japan English” (wasei Eigo) but, as English, it sounds a good deal more natural to my ears than some other Japanese creations.
