Atsuko, with local Kumamoto Oyaji gags for English-speaking dad-gags fans.

A friend from Amakusa told me a long time ago that a shopping centre in Oyano-cho, Kami-Amakusa, CAMON, seemed to have been named a combination of the English word Come on, C’mon, the Japanese word [かいもの Kaimono]for shopping and the dialect word [きゃーもん Kya-mon]. I remember this pun (oyaji gag) every time I go swimming in the sea in Amakusa during the summer holidays. I was a bit amused to hear that Oyaji gag is also called dad joke in English.()ᒃ Today’s sea photo is from the recommended Oyano Sea.
