The mikoshi (religious palanquin or portable Shinto shrine) you see is called “yuusou hadaka mikoshi” (勇壮裸みこし) .
Unfortunately, I just learned about this event, which occurred over the weekend. Apologies to matsuri fans who would have liked to know about it in advance. I often find it difficult to find out about festivals before they occur.
