I think this use of a ferry is pretty cool. I assume that most short-distance ferries don't have bathing facilities. Many decades ago, however, I took a ferry from Tokyo to Okinawa. I wasn't able to bathe on board at the time but perhaps such long-distance ferries now allow you to freshen up onboard.
