Carlton with an update on Covid booster shot reservations.
Some of you may have received a notice on LINE that reservations would be taken from today (1/15) for those resident in Kumamoto City over the age of 18 who received their 2nd vaccinations between June 1 and June 6, 2021. As my 2nd jab was June 9 I decided to see when I might be able to make my reservation. Once again I commend Kumamoto city for setting up a good international hot line for foreigners to obtain vaccination information:

I was told that because of the date of my 2nd shot, June 9 last year, I would receive a “reservation ticket” in the mail this week. I was then told that next Saturday, June 22, reservations for my group will be accepted. I was encouraged to call the same number above: 096-300-5577 and make my reservation thru the Call Center but only after I had my “ticket”.
I also asked if I could take the ticket directly to the same clinic which administered my first 2 jabs to save some time. I was told NO. The reservations must be made through the Call Center OR via the reservation website. The procedure seems to be the same as for obtaining the first and second vaccinations.
