Kitakyushu City (Fukuoka prefecture) provide houses for victims/affected people of Kumamoto Earthquake. The city offers 118 public houses/apartments in the city. Those who would like to move in need to show quake-damage certificate and ID which bears address. Key money, monthly rent and guarantor are not necessary. The period for use is six months in principle with a possibility to extend to one year. Applications are accepted at seven ward offices of Kitakyushu City, from 8:30 to 17:15 Monday to Friday.
